Ricardo Perez-Leon and Robert D. Nolan and Rachel L. Warren charged with third-degree criminal possession of controlled substance

charged Ricardo Perez-Leon, 26, of Hartford, Conn., and Robert D. Nolan, 23, and his girlfriend Rachel L. Warren, 21, both of Gloversville with third-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, a Class B felony, Barber said. Hartford is about three hours southeast of Gloversville.Investigators and the Ithaca Police SWAT team — which consists of Ithaca Police officers and Tompkins County Sheriff's deputies — raided a car and two hotel rooms outside of the city at about 1:45 p.m., Barber said. For security purposes, Barber said they wouldn't disclose the location or name of the Lansing hotel where the raids took place.A little larger than a man's thumb, each bag weighed about 0.3 grams and represented about a dose of the drug, Barber said. The heroin was seized in all three raids, but most of it was found in a suitcase at one of the hotel rooms, he said.Police said the heroin will be sent to the state police crime lab to determine its exact weight. The street value of the heroin depends on the market, they added. On Wednesday evening, police said Perez-Leon, Nolan and Warren were being held for arraignment. The arrests capped a two-month investigation in Ithaca and Tompkins County, police said. The state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and Tompkins County District Attorney's Office assisted with the investigation, they added.
