Adam Ruczaj and Tomasz Ciulwik were arrested by UK Border Agency officers

The drugs - weighing about 2kg - were broken-down into approximately 200 small packages, and two men were arrested by UK Border Agency officers (UKBA) on the 9th of August. The men have been named as Adam Ruczaj (27) and Tomasz Ciulwik (28) and had arrived from Amsterdam. The men have been charged for smuggling drugs and have appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court. They have been remanded in custody and will be put before Antrim Magistrates Court on the 9th of September. The haul is not the first time the airport has had to deal with drug smuggling as earlier this year a woman had to be taken to a local hospital as she appeared to have attempted to smuggle drugs in her stomach wrapped in condoms. The condoms seem to have split however exposing her body to large quantities of the drug.
